My CPU reading wrong?

    I have the current setup

    450w
    Epox nf3ultra Mobo w/
    AMD 3500+ Venice core
    1024mb dual channel
    128mb G4 ti4400 (soon to be x800GTO 256mb)

    The problem is, its (my cpu) reading 994mhz in windows, and 2000mhz in my Everest He. However, It should be clocked at 2.4ghz. Its set to this in my bios. IS Amd cool and quite due to this reading? should i be worried?

    It's hard to say. The chip is suppost to be running at 2.2Mhz. So it sounds like you're attempting to overclock it and it's quite possible it's just not over clocking well. Does it report 2.2Ghz in windows when set it properly and you don't over clock it?

    If it does work on the normal settings, its most likely just giving wierd results because you've overclocked it too much.
