My Day

not that any of you care, but I feel like venting....lol


yesterday the girl i dislike so much was let go- so I'm in a fairly decent mood going into work.

All morning long, our system is running slow and keeps going down and coming back up. Which is frustrating when you cant stay on long enough to enter an order! Well, at 10, it goes DOWN. no coming back up. We hadnt done the scheduling for tommorrow, hadnt called the customers - didnt even have any appintment lists printed. And of course, it seems like every customer we have is calling for service. other than taking their info, theres nothing we can do- cant schedule anything- the whole system is web based....

And of course, our idiot technicians keep calling for directions- we cant do anything for them .

i cant even get online at lunch ( which bothered me more then the system being down....lol)

FINALLY about 3:30, it comes back up- again- spuratically....i leave at 4 :30- and decide that regardless of my schedule being ready, I'm leaving on TIME. I actually manage to send stuff to the printer between crashes, get my appointment books together and am OUT at 4:35!!!



I think i am ready for a long, hot, bath..................


I am trying not to think about the 30 return calls i have to make in the morning.....

 

Nice day... but I think I gotcha beat. Take a gander at my day... Just remember... it can always be worse! Even in my situation!

Today went to the movies with my son, my bf and her son, the boys were supposed to see "White Chicks", my friend and I are supposed to see "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban". So she's late as usual and then says the movie would be too long and so she was going to see WC with the boys. Phooey, I had to watch the movie by myself.
I thought I'd read you like the HP books etc, me too, the movie was pretty good but I hate to see movies alone. I ate nearly a whole bag of jellybeans, yeah that's good for you!
Should have gone to work instead

 

I did put in an app, but there was no mannager there that could talk to me, ......I guess we will find out later....i might call later today....I havent seen the movie yet, but am Dying to!!

 

normally I dont mind getting up on Friday mornings, because my VERY FIRST THOUGHT is: I can SLLEP IN tommorrow.....seriously- been that way since school, anyways.....i thought that this morning and was like, wait, No- I have to WORK in the morning, which is going to cause me an d RAchel to be late to a friends birthday party....blah, blah, blah.......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr


oh crap, i need to get dressed- i just looked at the clock!!

today my boss turned in HER resignation- Wednesday, a co worker was terminated (she deserved it) ....and the other two girls i work with are both talking about quitting.

Now, I'll be the first to admit that this company isnt perfect (I dont think such a thing EXISTS) but its not THAT bad- good lord!!!

Maybe its that I dont have a loyalties to anyone there- I dont know- come, go- doesnt really matter to me, either way...kwim??

LOL. With all the attrition, you may end up office manager by default.

 

no joke...beter come with a raise if that happens....i was her assistant......lmoa

 

You see how it happens? Next thing you will have been there for 15 years saying "I wonder what would have happened if..." I'm telling you Debbie, that's what they did to my husband. If they do offer you anything or promise you anything - Get it in writing! However manager and more money?! One other thing to look at though is when you suddenly get a lot of change in management or a lot of people quitting at once. Watch your back deb and let us know how it goes!
