My display driver is having some problems

I have a Visiontek Radeon Xtasy 9550 128mb and everytime I play a game in full screen mode after the first twenty minutes my monitor ends up going to a black screen or a a blue box that says 'Out Of Range, Set resolution lower or see monitor user guide' but even though I've updated my drivers and set the resolution to many different settings it still ends up with the same error or black screen. Please help and thank you in advance.

 

Have you checked your refresh rate? It's possible that it may be set too high and causing that error.

 

Yeah I have.. It's set at a normal 60 and I've tried using 800 x 600 on a refresh rate of 52hz and it still gave me the same error or black screen. I also tried playing it in 256 colors and that still didn't work.
