my docs are in works how to open them

I was forced to get a new computer, all my documents are in works, which isn't available, how do I open my docs? They're wps, works 8.0.

 

I think if you look around, you should be able to find a copy of Works 7 or 8 that you can buy. I paid $1 for a copy of MS Money/Works 7 a few years ago on Ebay.

LibreOffice will open the documents (the most recent version), but I have OpenOffice 3.3, and .wks documents look better. But with those, In either case, access is lost to charts and graphs. If you have any or plan to have any I guess I would say see if you can find a copy of Works 7 or 8. Works 7 does support .wps as well as .wks.

I wouldn't give up on your old format files. I still have numerous .wks files. As they say, "Everything old becomes new again."
