my docs view

Hello
I have several files and folders in My Documents and I arrange then for ease in using them. I am aware of the "view' to arrange them otherwise.
Problem, I back these files and folders to a flash drive often but when I view them on the flash drive they are scrambled to the point that 'view' cannot arrange them for use.
If I tranfer these to my lap from the flash drive, they are also in disarray.
Is there a way to set the arrangement in my desk top and keep that arrangement in both the flashdrive and laptop?
