    Anytime I try to bring up a program or website, "My documents" loads, but then goes to Not Responding mode.
    Wassup? How do I stop this?
    Thanks

    What do you mean by "'My documents' loads"? My Documents is a folder. Exactly what happens?

    Best way to explain things is posting a screenshot.

    I began having continual problems getting programs or web sites to load. I would cue an icon, as an example, the hour glass would come on screen, then after a short time would it went off. But, nothing loaded. I went to task manager to see if the program/web site had loaded, and noticed "My documents" was listed with the notation it was 'not responding,' but my selection was not
    Now, most every time I log on and select a program or try to go to a web site, I still get no response nearly every time loading my selection, or it will take several minutes to load. "My documents" will show up if I go to task manager. I have found that if I clear that with End Task, my program selection will often load.
    Thought it might be malware, but when I posed this on that forum, I was advised it might not be a malware problem.
    Thought my XP pro program might be corrupt, but do not know how I would find that out. And, if it is I will need to get a new disc as this one is damaged and will not load.

    I do have some time and believe it or not, I still have your startup list on my desktop.
    First you have two things running from IOBit:
    Yes HKCU:Run Advanced SystemCare 6 IObit "C:\Program Files\IObit\Advanced SystemCare 6\ASCTray.exe" /AutoStart
    Yes HKLM:Run IObit Malware Fighter IObit "C:\Program Files\IObit\IObit Malware Fighter\IMF.exe" /autostart
    Pick one and remove the other.

    Next stop this from running on startup
    Yes HKLM:Run Adobe ARM Adobe Systems Incorporated "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe"

    Here's how
    Do you sync an iPhone from iCloud?
    If not, this is not needed
    Yes HKLM:Run APSDaemon Apple Inc. c:\program files\common files\apple\apple application support\apsdaemon.exe

    disable this
    Yes HKLM:Run ISUSPM Macrovision Corporation "C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService\isuspm.exe" -scheduler
    It constantly checks for updates

    This might be a trojan
    Yes HKLM:Run SearchSettings Spigot, Inc. "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Spigot\Search Settings\SearchSettings.exe"
    http://www.exterminate-it.com/malpedia/remove-backdoor-spigot
    >>> So a quick scan with malware bytes followed by a free online scan with ESET
    http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/

    You do not need realplayer checking for updates
    Yes HKLM:Run TkBellExe RealNetworks, Inc. "C:\program files\real\realplayer\update\realsched.exe" -osboot

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I still need to figure out if these are needed or not
    Yes Startup Common DVD@ccess.lnk C:\Program Files\Apple Computer\DVD@ccess\DVDAccess.exe
    and
    Yes Startup Common InterVideo WinCinema Manager.lnk InterVideo Inc. C:\Program Files\InterVideo\Common\Bin\WinCinemaMgr.exe
