Ok i recently hooked up a computer in my room and it doesn't have any internet because its the matter of switching my internet service. But anyway...i dont think my drive is getting any power what so ever. the led light doeasn't blink at all....and when i open the drive manually (using a pin or something) the conputer wont recognize the disk. I opened up the computer and everything appearded to be fine. I mean im not a computer expert. (I'm only 13 years old). So i thought it might have something to do with the power, so i followed the power chord and it lead into this box that said "do not open" now might be porblem but im not sure and i dont wanna open up the box cuz i dont wanna mess it up anymore....if you could help that would be great.

Does the drive shown up when your computer goes through the self tests at start up? It will probably show as either the primary slave or secondary master drive depending on the set up. You might have to turn off quick boot and any manufacturer splash screens in the bios to see this.

The box that says do not open is the PSU (Power supply - It converts the mains voltage into something more useable by the computer). Don't open it. There is nothing you can do inside it and to try could be dangerous.

Make sure that the drive has leads to both the PSU (Sounds like it does) and the Motherboard and that they are securly pluged in at both ends.
If this doesn't help then try using a different lead from the PSU (there should be a couple there).

It might also be worth checking that the drive doesn't need any extra drivers installing (Sounds like it shouldn't though if it's shop bought or has worked in the past)

If none of that works then I have no idea what wrong. Hope this solves your problem though.
