My external speakers just won't stop buzzing >.<

So I seem to be having issues with my speakers (or shall I say "speaker") buzzing. I checked to see if it was interference from my monitor/video card, but when I moved it to my kitchen counter top and plugged it in (just the speaker that has the jack for the power source) I still hear that graining buzzing that is irritating my ears. If you need any additional information or if you want me to take a video or picture of it Im more than willing to do so just please help me!

 

Are they wireless?

Do the speakers have their own volume controls?

If they do from whatever control panel you have for your sound system, I would adjust the sound to the minimum needed and control the volume from the speakers. Also, even if not using it, adjust the mike to a low or mute setting.

Depending on your set-up, you may be able to access some setting in your BIOS, specifically for power boost. If so, turn off any of these.

Did these speakers come with the system? Are the jacks all good? Can you see if they buzz in another set-up? Can you unscrew the jack caps and see that there is no shorting between the wires? (Unless they are solid molded of course).

Disconnect them from the computer - do they still buzz? A buzz normally indicates interference or a bad ground/loose connection.
