My "Favorites" are there but they're not?

I have Windows XP and was in folder properties but couldn't remember what I did. Whatever it was I did, has made my Internet Explorer browser appear as though I had no favorite links. (I have many links in several folders, see screen shot).

I came here earlier to ask my question and when I went to add this site to my empty favorites links, I can see that all my favorites ARE there in the pop down window, but be damn if I can find them to restore them to my browser. Any way to un hide them?

Any help to restore this would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if this is the fix or not, but if you look at my screen shot, the folder was a shadow until I checked the properties. By the looks of it, it may take a couple of hours before I find out if this is the right fix or not.

 

Woohoo... fully restored the Favorites and all folders associated with the favorites. (I don't know why it said 2 hours to fix) I just have to reorganize the folders and I'm done.
