(I've utilised Opera,Avantbrowser,and Firebird)

And..........of course....XP Pro.......14 processes running....."stand-alone" P.C.

Vopt is a Defrag Proggie for XP Pro.......

Works very well;smooth,fast,etc.

but unfortunatly is not a true defragger as it only really defrags space rather than look at the applications running and defrag according to access or usage.

The very nature of NTFS likes to have a small amount of breathing space so that files can enlarge or be updated over time without being fragmented and split up on the HD from the rest of the file that is why nearly all of the time a proper defrag doesnt look all mushed together in one huge block it can have gaps as its found the quickest location to access that file from Vopt doesnt do that SO using the inbuilt lite version of Diskeeper or geting hold of O&O defrag is a better method of keeping your HD defraged.

What is wrong with the defrag thing that comes with windows?
Is there something better to use?

O & O is good......... ....but,like I stated before,

Vopt increases my system's speed.......
..that is what matters.........
