My fight agains evil...you can help.

Hello all.
I had an idea tonight. Its probably an idea many people have had before, but I will impliment it. A guerilla war agains scumware. I propose a net-wide education program propagated by email, instant message, message boards, websites, and personal contact. The idea is simple: you, as geeks, know of the dangers of these programs and viruses. It is your job to educate all those you come in contact with. no matter how passing your encounter. This plan is still developing. but i need your help. working out details and such. things like an email to be forwarded like a chain letter. stuff like that. grass roots stuff. uninformed people dont only hurt themselvs, they hurt the whole web by propagating this stuff. please dont post on this thread unless you have somthing constructive, i dont want this thread growing out of control. i really think that if we get enough people to help, we can really make a dent in this stuff.

i was thinking about how it could be like spam. but i wouldent want people to just let loose. instead, maybee ad a link at the bottom of emails to an information page. im just sick and tired of this stiff, like we all are. this is one of the best sites on the web for help with this stuff. i was thinkng about the new "white worms" that people are releasing to plug security holes that ms hasent patched yet. kinda going along that line. as i said, i need your imput/

yeah. forget the email idea. but the education can still be done. this is more a call to arms than anything else. there are guys like chanslang who know everything about this stuff. and some of us who dont. but we all know its a problem, so we can all help out just making people we know aware of it.
