My friends can't use an app I wrote although it works fine.

I wrote a console app in C, using Visual Express 2008. It works fine on my own computer, and when I sent the source code to a friend, she compiled it and it worked fine on her PC too.

However I have uploaded the application to a free-hosting website and when my friends download the executable file it doesn't work. They just get a configuration error.

Can anyone help? I'm new to programming and this is my first try at it. Would be great to share my work!

 

Here is a screenshot of the error. Does it give you any info? If I hit launch nothing happens.

 

I haven't got a clue. This is the first time I have tried anything like this. What external application? How can I write the program so that will be executable on other computers except ones it is compiled upon? Help!
