I removed the hard drive (90 Gigs) from my old broken laptop. I plan on using it in a mobile cradle for back ups on my other system. When I came to format the drive it would only let me format it to 32gigs where has the other 60 gone. Am I correct in assuming that is where windows xp was installed and therefore protected. How can I get the whole 90gigs back:confused:

    Thanks

This sounds like you've formatted using the FAT filesystem which can only address 32GB of hard drive space. Try formatting with NTFS.
