I can't find my HP Director..
I have my HP Image Zone Plus and all is fine for that..
I've clicked on the shortcut and nothing happens, it just sits there.
So I did the 'start', 'all programs', 'HP', 'HP Director'. And nothing happens.
Then I looked in my 'Add and Remove Programs' just to see if it was somewhere in there and found all of the things that was 'HP Image Zone, ""Zone Plus and all of that good stuff, but I never found 'HP Director'.
Maybe it got carried away by the .........well, whatever. haha
Is there a way that I can download it from somewhere?
I don't have any disk for it.
I am running Windows XP on a 3 year old HP.
Sure would be a happy geek if I could get my HP Director back.

    thanks!

Have you downloaded the new Internet Explorer 7? There is known issues with HP Director and IE7.

I have no idea what Explorer 7 is or what it does. And if I do download it is the HP Director that I would be downloading from that 'hookup' gracefully with my HP Image Zoon that I already have? Will it bring with it another HP Image Zone?
I just don't want to get into anything that fixes one thing and gives me something else to have to deal with....... I am scared...

    Just reinstall it.

It's on one of the cds that came with your comp.

Is there anyway that I can get the Director without having to download the Explorer7?

IE7 causes problems for HP director.

It is an automatic update with windows.

Usually the product folder in Hewlett Packard's Program Files folder doesn't have software and printer drivers loaded after you run the install, used to be a problem with Intel chips only, now AMD also. Hewlett Packard's site has the software available for download, but I always end up moving the items in the "Product" folder from the installation files to the Hewlett Packard "product " folder in Program Files folder on C: drive. Confused? Me too, but reboot and it will work.
