Truthfully, it is cheaper to buy a new wireless printer than that $69.87 gizmo.

I don't run Win 10. I bought a new wireless HP Deskjet 2655 at the beginning of August. It cost $50 at Target.

The printer is simply plugged in and not connected to any computer. It has its own wireless as well as being able to use an IP assigned by the router.
(The hardest part was setting up the printer using my smartphone but HP gave directions which I was able to follow). I then had to go online with each computer and download the correct printer driver because it wasn't included in Win 7 or XP. You probably won't have that problem with Win 10.

I now have the advantage of being able to print from the android tablets and phone, something I could not do with my old print server because the printer was not able to print to the cloud. (I'm still using my 13 year old printer on my print server too).

According to these specs for your device, it already has a LAN (Ethernet) connection. And when I attempt to manually add a printer to my W10 by selecting HP and searching for your device, it indeed finds the 3055. Now unless you really need wireless, this means you can still connect your device to your network and have it located anywhere you can connect an Ethernet cable - that is, not on your desk, tethered to your computer, but centrally located and everyone can print to it without needing a "host" computer up and running.

If you must have wireless, something like that device Just Playin suggested will work. Since you don't need fast speeds for printing, here's one a bit cheaper. Do make sure your WAP (wireless access port - often integrated with "wireless" router) supports 802.11G. If not, then pick one that supports 11n from here.
