    Hi there experts.

I have an insane error. My old comp crashed with Win pro. I got a new one with Win Home.
I have external disks with movies. I have a small mediaplayer at the tv. All disks are connected to a usb-hub.
Works fine. I can browse for disks in my mediaplayer, everyone shows. BUT. I cant open 2 of them. I got the message "Invalid Argument." What is that. Its only ordinary external usb-disks all of them.
Everyone is shared the same way with "all" as setting. I checked that everyone has the exact same settings.
Both smb 1 and 2 are enabled. Why does just some disks opens? ARGH. :)

What version of Pro? 7, Vista, 8.1, 10?
    Again, tell us what version.

What is a mediaplayer? A standalone DVD drive, a USB stick?

2 of what? files, CDs, USB stick? DVDs?

Again, I haven't a clue what a USB external disk means. Is it a USB stick, a USB portable hard drive?

I can tell you that smb v1 should be disabled[/].

Really? You dont know what a mediaplayer is?
Well, a mediaplayer is a box that you connect to your network and tv and let you play your movies from your harddrives. It plays all sorts of moviefiles and my plays rar on the fly. No need to unpack rarfiles. It uses smb 1 so no cant do disable that. Thats not the problem. The player detects all disks but 2 of them cant be open. I got the error message for some reason. You do read what i write?

An example of a mediaplayer. https://www.amazon.com/Full-HD-Port...KMFHCW5GCNC&psc=1&refRID=E8AYB4PK9KMFHCW5GCNC

You dont know what an external disk is? Really? Amazing. Well here is an example. https://www.techradar.com/news/best-external-desktop-and-portable-hard-disk-drives

    No, I didn't know that's why I asked.
In my home we are still using analog tvs so nothing hd quality.
I don't call an external hard drive an external disk. I do own 7 portable WD external hard drives.

I dont use hd quality. Just old fashion dvd quality since almost all my downloaded movies are in dvd format. The thing is to stream from your disks to your tv. Nothing hightech really.
Some people say disk, some say drive.

The main thing is that you cant help me at all. So i ask if there is someone else who understand what i ask please.
