splitt3r You are now the victim of a drive by title change

ahave you tested the monitor on another comP? it is probably your video card going bad but before you go buying new hardware update your driver, what vid card do you have, is it onboard?

Sorry I should have said it's a laptop that I have, when it comes to computers I'm about as illiterate as they come so I dont really have any idea what vid card I have. I've only had it a few months so it's still under warranty, perhaps I should get on to Fujitsu Siemens ??

Just to add that my 'fan' usually starts briefly when this happens too.

Sounds like a driver conflict then. Have you tryed reinstalling the drivers ?

I am not a major geek but just started looking at options and found this solution: Go to IE Tools, then Internet Options, then Colors, and UNCHECK the "Use Windows Colors" box.

This fixed my problem--No more flashing. I don't know why it fixed it or even if I will have problem for doing this change but so far NOTHING ELSE seems to be negatively affected. Colors all look the same but no IE SCREEN FLASHES. Good Luck with your solutions. Sidcerely
