my monitor stay in power save mode after long idle only

Am having a problem with my monitor and power saving mood
My Mobo is Gigabyte EP45-D6Q
Graphic card ATI Radeon HD 4850 With last driver 10.9
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz
Monitor LG flatron L 1750SQ with a vega cable
i have my monitor power saving options to shut down monitor after 5 min, when i touch the mouse or keyboard after a short time of idle the monitor come back from savepower mood, if it went in long time idle once i touch the mouse the monitor power button keep flashin and i have to turn it off and on manytimes till it come on, i changed the vga cable and installed graphic last drivers, i have no problem with the monitor as long its on, it only does that after LONG idle can someone help me plz?

Don't know your operating system/service pack #, but most power options are similar. I'd suggest drilling down into your power settings, and resetting everything to 'Always On' for troubleshooting purposes, see if your symptoms change.

You might also want to make sure the monitor itself has no power saving shutdown features.

 

operating system/service pack vista sp2 i tried last night and set display to never shut down it stayed on normal, the monitor itself has no power saving shutdown features actualy, and it work fine if i was idle for a few min like 30-60 but if its long i wake up and touch the mouse the monitor power button start blinking and the logo of the monitor shows up like few times till it catch on, the pc it self is working fine my problem is the monitor
