Anyone got this figured out? When I browse my network places not all my pcs show up in there yet I can \\PC_NAME and get to it. Any ideas how to make sure all win pcs are announcing themselves??

I always ignored it, but someone else asked me about it, so I guess its time to fix it.
    Win XP Pro BTW

I think thats just the nature of My Network Places. It doesn't refresh itself for long periods of time.

That's the way it is suppost to work. That is a lsii of computers it's seen recently. For something to disapear it takes about a day or so of it not being on the network. If you want the current list of connected computers you have to dig a little deeper.

The current list can be viewed from "My network places", "Entire Network", "Microsoft Windows Network", then pick the workgroup and you'll see the current and up to date list. If you have the left side bar open you'll have to click on something like "show workgroup computers" to see the list.
