My new computer

Just had to show you all my new box.

It was built by a mate of mine from scratch. He sold it to me for next to nothing, and I did a few more mods to it.

Its got Jetway NForce2 board, XP2700+, 512Mb DDR333, Radeon 9600 (Pants I know, but its the only card that fits in the space), Maxtor 120Gb HDD ATA133, Phillips 8x DVD-R +/-, totally custom built water-cooling for CPU (keeps CPU under 45 degrees most of the time), and a 550W PSU

Outer case was made by bending a piece of metal around a lamppost until it was the correct shape! (Mate did that, lol. Wish I had photo's!). Inside is a small cage to hold components. Had a blue LED fan at each end, with some wierd green light strips he found on the internet around its belly. The 2 ends were once caulinders (strainers) with the centres cut out. I have matched the pattern in the top and installed a HDD cooler twin-fan rig to drag in some more cool air.

I just love this little baby.

Welcome back Mutz! Long time no see. If I was at home I'd post some great little animations of you from way back. How's it going? Obviously you've had a project going there, and it looks great by the way.

Like I say, a mate started it out. He just wanted to do something different for a change. However, he got bored (and skint) halfway through, so I bought it off him.

Gonna take some piccies of the inside later today (once I wake up and the caffeine kicks in LOL) and post them up for ya.

As for looking like a WMD. I personally thought it looks more like a giant suppository.

P.S I am about to start a new project PC with him though. Its gonna be a fish tank computer!!! Basic idea being to split a glass box into two parts with a divider down the middle. The back will have all the PC components installed, and the front will be a fully working fish tank, fish and all!!! So when you look at it from the front, it will look like the fish are swimming around the insode of the computer. Ideas might chance between now and starting the build, but thats the general idea. Gonna be a lot of hard work to get it done though. Once its done though, going to install EPOS on it, and use it in my Pet Shop as my Cash Register!!! (With a cash drawer etc hooked up to it of course). Will keep ya informed of progress
