my outlook will not send or receive

Every time I try 2 send email my outlook says server cannot be found. I know i have the pop and smtp correct. I have even tried to set up a new account. I have verizon dsl so i know its up and running. Please help.

 

Just a suggestion, I once had the same problem after I re formatted. it turns out I had either the server adress or my email adress slightly wrong. I would double check the info you know(like your email adress0 very carfully then go to verizons website and check the other stuff like the server adress, if you cant find it there call customer service. I hope this dosn't sound bad ,Its just what happened to me

 

I recently had this problem, it turns out it was basically a simple blockage problem, someone in my family had reset the firewall and anti-virus without telling anyone and therefore were at default settings, if you have either and antivirus or firewall turn the email scanner off as this blocks over 50% of email accounts using outlook. Just a suggestion hope it helps
