I haven't been on here in a few years and I just got a notice from Lifelock that they found my password for this forum on the dark web.
    Has anyone else gotten one?

    Thanks.

There was a data leak about 4-5 years ago (or more...can't honestly remember) when we were on another platform that we moved from the same amount of years ago. We didn't store any other info, but if you haven't done so already, you should change your password.

Also, just as an aside since I just discovered it, if you have an iphone, you can go into settings > Passwords > select Security Recommendations and see any passwords that have been compromised because of data links.

... or, if you don't have an iphone, you can do the same with Have I been pwned

EDIT - the MG breach was in November 15 and the site shows my password

Sure. All passwords here were taken in 2015. Before yesterday, your last post was in 2009 so no one posted as you.

Most people stealing username and password info aren't looking to post at forums. They want control of email accounts and bank accounts.

They hope you use the same password(s) for everything.

Most likely, that is why it's always good to change passwords regularly or enable 2-step verification on your accounts.

Changing passwords regularly is not a good idea. The current thinking is "change the password only if you suspect or have been told about a hack".
