my PC suddenly became noticeably slow

hi. So last week, i don't think i shut my computer off once, but it was still running smoothly. Eventually I restarted it, and it was extremely slow. About 15 minutes into running it, it said i have critically low disk space left which i knew was fake because the day before i had about 615GB left. I checked how much was left, and it said zero bytes. It also said I wasn't connected to the internet, which i was. I don't know what kind of malware would cause this, but i ran spybot search and destroy, and then restarted my computer again. That fixed the problems, but my computer is still running extremely slowly. I used smart defrag like 8 times and it didn't help at all. can anyone help me.

If the scans that you ran found malware you may still not be clean. You need to follow the instructions here.....

try to do all the scans that need running for your OS (Win7) and post the logs in a new thread in that section of the forum like this....

once you have created the logs and posted them one of the Malware Guru's will look at them and either give you a clean bill of health or run through some cleaning procedures with you.
