my pictures in my documents keeps freezing???

I have a digital camera... i download my pictures from my camera onto my computer using the card slot in the front of the computer>>>.everything was fine up until a few months ago.... now when i try to open my pictures in their folders under my documents it freezes up while the pictures ever so slowly try to come up into view!!!! Only solution is to turn computer off & try again!!!! can anyone please help me!!!!!!!!!

 

Try this, ccleaner is a program that gets rid of junk files, and will also clean useless entries out of the registry, i dont back up the reg, but i recommend that you do, then defrag with this free program, ed

I think in addition to the advice given you should also look for any programs running in the background that have been put in about the time you noticed the problem.

Hi I want to thank everyone for their help!!!!! I Did what you said...I ran ccleaner then diskeeper but was still having a problem!!!! I then removed some of my recently installed programs...eventually i must have hit the right one because now "my pictures" seems to be running correctly!!! One thing i was wondering was there always a .db & thumbnail with the picture folders??? I think i remember the thumbnail but wonder about the .db ? Thanks Karen
