    Helo,

i make this post to give you my solutions about a problem i meet.

I used 1 ssd m.2 and 2 normal ssd + an old HDD.

This HDD is not from new generations but work perfectly. Old age is no sign of obsolescence ! Although in some cases the synergy is complex but we can do it.

So, My problem start when I decide to buy a W Home Key on Ms store. After buying, I decide to reset my computer to take a new and clean start.

I did not think that the hard drive had access related to my configuration. After the reset, the hard disk was used as active under W10 but it was inaccessible when I wanted to see the files.

In the above case where you have not encrypted the hard drive with third-party software or with BitLocker, try this procedure:

Right click on the external / internal hard disk,
Choose Property and then the Security tab.
    Click Advanced.
    Then choose Add
    Select a principal

in the window "enter the name of the object to select" you must indicate "tout le monde" or "everybody" according to the language of your system.

    Then click ok

check all the boxes in the next window and click OK.
There you may have error messages, use the enter key to quickly jump them and check that you have access to your hard drive. in my case I did not have errors messages.

May my problems and his solution help somebody else.

The first thing I'd try is putting the drive in question in an external drive (USB) holder and plugging it into a working PC. In Windows, then search for "Disk Management" (create and format hard drives).

Does the drive you connected show? If not, it is likely the hard drive itself may be defective.

If it shows up, use Disk Management to erase the existing partition(s) and reformat the hard drive. This is likely to solve the issue.

    Hope this helps.

Glad you got it working. If you have not already backed up copies of all of your files onto a USB, external drive or cloud storage (such as OneDrive or Dropbox) I would do so immediately.

If the drive crashes again, you may lose everything forever if you do not have at least one backup copy. I repair PCs for a living - at least once a week, I end up having to tell a customer all their pictures, documents, etc. are gone with no chance of getting them back.
