My school trip to Istanbul!

As some of you know I went on a trip to Istanbul in May this year with my graduating class. We stayed for a week and for me, it was a fantastic experience! I fell absolutely in love with the city, the atmosphere and the people I met.

Here is the photographic evidence of the trip. This may take some time to load, because even though I have shrunk them to suitable size, there are many of them... Don't say you weren't warned!

Most were taken with a borrowed camera that I didn't get along with too well. Some are taken with my mobile phone.

I want to go back!

 

Istanbul is a city i have visited on numerous occasions it has some unbelievable history and the Turks just do not appreciate it.

you find lots of Aussie tourists there as Gelibolu(gallipoli) is just a short ferry ride over the bay,the Topkapi Palace is a wonder to behold and the Golden horn mosque.

although i no longer drink i still remember the FS beer it's pure chemicals and very strong.

Magnificent architecture...I do miss that in sleepy Oregon. The waters are so crystal clear too, which surprised me.

Great pictures, Solange. I have always been intrigued by old buildings, statues, and art. Nothing like that around here. Our oldest buildings are only 150-200 years old. Thanks for a glimpse into another world.

I've been contracted to work extra on a small passenger ship next week, and the extra money is invested in a new camera! - This means there might be more torture in the future...

Just amazing Solange, I really appreciate them simply because I have hardly been out of California, so to see things in other parts of the world is truly a treat for me, plus the fact you take great pictures. Thank You Again.

 

I keep saying if I live through this surgery (if it ever happens) sigh! I would like to go to New Orleans. Listen to the music, ride the river in a paddle boat. Simple, matches my mind I suppose, ah-ha beat you, huh?

I've just come back from the boat I worked on. Not much time for piccies, over the 7 days onboard, I've worked 83 hours and I think I slept the rest... Very long days, work wasn't bad, but it was a little rough with the long days and limited variation!
