My Serial ATA Harddrive, help

alright, i just built my computer yesterday.. btw... its AWESOME!! im very happy with it but err nm that.. umm alright you kno at the bottom right on your screen, theres icons of course? well you kno the one with the green arrow? its when you add new hardware.. like when i connect my iriver up to the computer it comes up but anyways.. its about that.. it says i can safely remove the device.. i was about to do it b/c i didnt kno what it was and i looked and it was my hard drive!! how can i get off? or is that normal for a serial ATA hdd?

 

Hey dude. Right click on the taskbar, click properties, select customize, and select always hide on the remove hardware icon.
