My (Small) Ubuntu 8.04 Review

Upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04 via Synaptic on desktop.

Have to say that I love Ubuntu myself. Mind you, I had problems with Hardy; not stability issues but CPU and RAM ones. Usage was unacceptably and I went back to Gutsy for the moment.

BTW, may I ask, what is that theme you're using?

It's very nice.

Obviously, you're Compizing to the max, maybe without the Cube?

It appears to be the Ubuntu Studio theme. I use it myself. If you have Ubuntu Desktop already installed, it's about a 50mb download from Synaptic to install Ubuntu Studio. It's mostly a few extra pieces of software and some really cool themes.

 

No, its not Ubuntu Studio.

Its a mixture of Compiz-Fusion, Metacity, and GTK themes.

Lets see if I can remember...

Kore GTK theme.
Black-white 2 Gloss icons
Dark-Ice Metacity theme
