My Son needs a middle name Urgently!

Hi Guys,

This is NOT a joke, I need some recommendations on a middle name for my Son Jonas!

We recieved a Birth, Deaths & Marriages form yesterday, stating that the 60 days is over and we will be fined $1,000 if we do not fill the form out and send it back to them within 7 days.

We chose the first name, which was easy when he was born, we are having trouble though deciding on a middle name, or agreeing with each other on a middle name, Kylie keeps revolving around the name Ayden, I sorta like it, but prefer Aiden if we were to choose that name (The spelling of it), we have decide not to choose his middle name as a family name, although I sat up the other night writing down all my family's names and kylies family, then trying to come up with a unique name from that, but on my side of the family it is too difficult, and on kylies side their isn't enough letters to work with.

We were also going to just leave his name as Jonas Giles, giving him no middle name, but I really want to, both our families have middle names through-out, I don't want to break that tradition.

Have you got a suggestion for a middle name? I would'nt mind a unique name, but a common one would do just fine also, I just need to like it. But I`ve ran out of suggestions, and I cannot think of a name anymore, so please, give me your suggestion of a middle name, the one kylie and myself like the most gets chosen, with proof it was used with a photograph of the birth certificate once its processed!

Just out of interest, Jonas is a Hebrew name meaning "accomplishing" and Giles is a Greek name meaning "baby goat"

So, for your "accomplishing baby goat" I will make the two suggestions of my own sons' middle names

Liam - Irish name meaning "unwavering protector"

Saul - Hebrew name meaning "asked for" (which he was )

 

LOL, Um, thanks about the goat comment, appreciate it, so not only do 'I' have a messed up initial complex! (David Andrew Giles), but I`m also a goat!

I actually thought I selected a unique name when I made up Jonas, but when I got the my PC 2 weeks after he was born, then the internet, I found out Jonas is far from 'Unique'! But I like it, even though it took me days to make up, then to find I didn't make it up becuase its a known name!

Saul pronounced Sal? or something, sorry I don't know the name....

Jonas Oliver Giles - would look fine on a letterhead. I did a search on the internet and couldn't find that combo. Maybe it's unique.

You have to be careful with initials. We were going to give our second son the middle name of Owen, but that would have made him N.O.B., so we decided not to lol

Ofcourse, I haven't decided yet, still open to suggestions, I`ll show Kylie this thread 2 nite when she is relaxed and finished for the day, I can't go ahead and choose, we both got to agree, so we`ll probably debate a bit.

Keep the suggestions coming, they`re starting to get good ones! Just don't make it 2 difficult for us, I`ll be shot if I end up liking more than one of the suggestions, giving jonas 3 names instead of 2 and my family name!

 

This is almost like a contest. I can hardly wait to see who the "winner" is.

It is sorta, becuase the one that kylie and I find most attractive/suiting and preferably unique but not required, gives our son his middle name!

I like the name, but with his first name being Jonas, I guess it depends if you are happy with him having two very biblical names. My youngest does and it works great

@ G.T. - I like the name Kyle too and was going to say that until I ran it with the rest of the name and wasn't sure about Kyle Giles.

 

Yeah, Kyle Giles comes off somewhat strained, but for most things it will be Jonas K. Giles. (shrug)

Ultimately, despite any and all suggestions, it will come down to whatever Luthius and Kylie like.

Certainly these are not common middle names

 

Isaiah is the name of a hardcore metal band here in my hometown. So you could say that the name Isaiah rocks!
