    Hey Guys,

I`ve been holding my breath in saying it, but now I cannot hold back anymore. My system feels like it is slower in many tasks than my old Socket 423 P4 2.53Ghz with 512MB SDRAM!

Honestly, Data Transfer feels slower compared to that of the old system which had ATA devices! This system I have now is SATA, apparently faster data transfer.

Running windows xp pro itself is comparable, except my old system seems to have alot less drag/lag after a few hours use like this current system.

My computer is a brand name, turned into a custom PC, everythings is standalone in the drivers and OS, I threw the acer install discs in the microwave when I bought the system, installed my OEM Windows XP Pro SP2, Bought a GF6600GT @ Installed the latest nVidia Drivers, Etc Etc

The other thing I noticed too today was that my system has 8 USB ports, yet according to PC Wizard 6 of them are USB 1.0, with only 2 being v2.0! Yet I have a LGA775 Socket 3.06 P4 (C1E, EM64T, HTT, 533FSB) PC-3200 512MB Memory, GF6600GT, etc

    My old system was a Socket 423 P4 2.53Ghz, 533 FSB, GF4MX440, etc

Maybe it is me, but my mainboard in the old system was an Intel 945P from memory, currently I have a SiS661FX chipset, sadly SiS do not have any chipset drivers except a AGP driver...

Could my mainboard be under-performing my system, would you recommend that I go buy a new board?

    Thanks
