my web search removal

    It is not in the uninstall programs menu, so there is nothing there to remove. Everytime I run superantispyware it finds about 150 entries and removes them, but I can do that everyday and another 150 entries pop up for SAS to remove. The mywebsearch window is still next to my address bar after superantispyware is done. I've run ccleaner and avg also. :confused

    Have you yet tried Malware Bytes Anti-Malware to remove the mywebsearch? I don't know why SAS isn't removing it. You are sure you are checking all and pressing "next" to remove?

    Did you use the latest version of SUPERantispyware? (which is 4.24.1004)

    It is shareware...this means that you only buy it should you wish to.

    Give MBAM a run and let us know what happens

    Do any of the following appear in your add or remove programs list?

    I ran MBAM:-D did the job...Thank you very much!! It found only 33 items, but after their removal mywebsearch was gone. Very cool. I ran SAS again and this time instead of 150 entries it only found 14. I quarantined and removed them. I am going to see if they are gone on a second SAS scane. I can't figure out why SAS says it quarantines and removes the items only to have them back after the reboot:confused

    Anyway, Thank you again for all your help and time.

    This is strange.

    no problems :) if you wish to check for any remaining malware please run the malware removal procedures outlined in the Read and Run Me First
