I don't have an answer about this "bar" but I have 2 other answers for you:

You need to go here first:
    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407

...and follow all the directions. When it talks about specific software, you can most likely download it here on the homepage, and make sure you check for updates immediately -- if you already have it, double-check versions and updates too.

Be very careful to do exactly what it says for the steps you are able to take. Come and post results and all the questions you want but you need to do all of this in the proper order. People will be glad to help you with the many steps involved if you ask specific questions and tell us exactly what happened when you ran certain programs.

Only if someone asks you to post a "hijack this" log, are you supposed to post it as an attachment -- see:

    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=38752
And you run hijackthis with certain programs shut down...

Also at this point in time, you can safely IGNORE the findings of DSO Exploit in SpyBot S&D...or you can tell SpyBot to ignore them (open SpyBot, at the top where it says FILE MODE LANGUAGE HELP -- click on MODE and chose Advanced. Then go to "settings" tab on left, choose "ignore Products" and scroll down to the DSO Exploit box and check it. Then SpyBot will ignore it in a scan.

They say it's a "bug" in SpyBot -- you need to be up-to-date on all your Microsoft updates.

Did you read the fine print when you installed Messenger Plus? It comes with a bunch of spyware.

And as Pegg already said: we have guidelines about posting HJT log that must be followed.

Please follow all the steps in this Sticky thread < READ ME FIRST: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal >

If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.
