How do I connect mysql to vb6 code?
I have installed odbc drivers for mysql.
In adodc property option what should I do?
How do I configure odbc connector of mysql?

 

Choose the properties of the adodc object and choose build on the bottom right. See if the MyODBC driver is available as one of your selections. If not , then I would suggest coding it by hand.

 

Myodbc driver is not available,
Is it possible to configure the connector from administrative tools>data source?
Or else how do I code it by hand?

 

Try the oledb driver instead and follow the instructions I provided above.

no, never tried that. I don't use MySQL really. I tinkered with it several months ago and it was a royal pain in the ass so I went back to SQL server 2000. I develop using the MSDE if I have to (it's free) and I won't have to screw around with drivers because I know they work natively.
