WinXP Home SP2 (supposedly the owner had a SP3 install go bad)... in the control panel I have an icon with no name that does nothing when clicked on. No error, nothing. Help?

    Thanks.

Hmmmmm.... the icon picture is the same, but this PC is running XP Home SP2. The owner of the PC said he tried to install SP3 but something went wrong. When I got the PC it wasn't booting and gave the much beloved "NTLDR is missing" error. This was one of the few cases where the NTLDR file was indeed missing. Simply copying NTLDR from a healthy XP Home SP2 computer to a floppy, then copying it to C: on the non-booting PC worked like a champ. How NTLDR got removed is beyond me but I think it was tied up in the SP3 install that went bad..... but none of this really explains this mystery icon. It doesn't seem to be negatively effecting anything (besides my sanity) so if I can't find a way to repair/remove it, I may just leave it alone.
