Mystery sound -- please advise

    It has been a long time since I last logged on here. Things have gone smoothly with the exception of two things. One of which is the sound which just started today. I'd say it occurs about every 6 - 9 minutes. It is not exactly what I would call a beep. It is tough to describe. Everything appears fine.Temperature in the case looks good, fan seems fine. Any ideas?

    might be your hd going bad i had a 20gb that made a noise be four it whent bad

    make sure you back all of your files if just in case i am right about your hd going back
