n/o os found

    Hi , I have a HP pavilion that started out with millinium and upgraded it to xp. The unit was working fine then all the sudden when I boot up it says NO OPERATING SYSTEM FOUND anybody got a clue what to do?

    Sounds like your OS on the hard drive is corrupted. Boot from your XP install CD and see if you can repair from there. I recall there is a function for this in the menus.

    Worse scenario could be your hard drive has gone bad.

    I dont have a disk ,the xp is an upgrade on top of a Me. Do you know where to get a cd version boot disk ( or if that will work or not) thanks
