Network Attached Storage (NAS) is a device that connects to a network to provide data storage for saving files and documents. A NAS typically has multiple hard drives installed for saving data. Some NAS devices also support Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) which allows stored data to be saved across multiple disks. If a hard disk fails RAID can allow the data to still be accessed until I replacement drive is installed.
