Okey well in spite of the announcement of Starcraft 2, i decided to pop in my original Starcraft and get back into it a little bit. Problem is, now i run my internet through a wireless router and i get the NAT problem. I lag every game with more than 2 people (one being myself) and its unplayable. I cannot create games as 'Latency is too high'. I know i'm suppose to forward ports but my IP is dynamic and in order to successful forward ports you need a Static IP. Is there anyway to get by this without having to change my ip to static? Or is there a way to set a static IP on only one of the computers in a network and not the others? The router i have is a D-Link WBR 2310. Thanks.

no you can forward ports on a non static ip, just goto your router and forward it to your internal network static ip/or dynmic, either way you don't have to pay for a static ip.

Could you elaborate on 'forward it to your internal network' because i tried forwarding it regularly with a dynamic ip and i still had the connection problems. And i know i can easily change an IP to static, but my older brother is keen on keeping it dynamic.

Log into what ever router you have, do an ipconfig on your pc and set your ip as the forward to.

Well ive always forwarded the ports to my ip. I just did it again and still no luck. Am i doomed without a static ip?
