I am really confused right now as I don't know if I am getting the correct number of live updates and hence wonder if my program is indeed uptodate.

I have been doing my live updates for the last 2 weeks and they keep saying 26 downloads and 26 installs and then I did one a day later and it said the same number and so I repeated the Live Update right after and it again said 26.
It is now a week later and I just did a Live Update here on Sunday and it again says 26 and I did another moments later and it said 26.

The Task Bar shows a Green popup indicating that the system and Norton are OK???

I have never checked NAV before and would appreciate experienced comments, as I don't want to think that my proggy is uptodate when there maybe an issue with it.
    I would appreciate replies, thankyou.

BTW, I did not know if this is the proper place to post this.

My computer is running fine, and no problems; just wondered about this??

I want to add this info.
I have been in and out of forums, I don't know if members here use NAV as a lot of forums seem to support only freeware and thus no knowledge of NAv.

What occurred in Aug 2, 2006 is an update of LU and I checked my version and it is 3.0.0.16 and this changed to 3.0.0.171 so I am trying to update to this version as my live update keeps repeating 26 d/ls and I install them and again there were 26 as of yesterday.

Yet virus definitions give the date as Nov 12, 2006 as if uptodate.

To do an update I was referred to Symantec to use Lusetup.exe which I clicked on and it seemed to work and then ground to a halt with the message:
"You need to have write access to the Registry to install LU". I do and yet it could not be done.

I was in another forum and a member had the same problem and indicated that NAV has permission keys in the Registry that cause problems and even if you use the Clean Tool and a Reg Cleaner he went back and checked manually and there were still NAV permission keys imbedded in the Reg. I am not a techie and so this is above my head.
He said he then tried to reinstall off his CD and his cleaning action made things worse b/c he could not get all the remnants of the LU out.

Does anyone have any suggestions or do almost all members use Free A/V proggys??

    I would appreciate comments, thankyou.
