Nedd xp explorer help real bad please!

ive had this problem for a few weeks now. when i try to log into a site for example, i sometime shave to refresh the page 5 times for it to come up. even happened when i tried to get into majorgeeks. it happens a lot on yahoo mail, hotmail. whatever. its very random. ive did ad-aware, spybot, yahoo anti-spy checks, avg antivirus and trendmicro and they dont find anything serious. ive tried using mozilla and kmeleon browsers and the same thing happens i just gert a diff message. usually in IE its 'page cannot be displayed. as i said, this is very random. in fact i thought it was fixed last night when i downloaded the java control but tonight its back.

amd athlon xp 3200+
1gb ram
80gb HD
win xp
ati radeon 9600 pro

I would look for two things.
Computer absolutely full up with .temp and other gunky files or
Over heating - computer fan. intakes etc etc clogged with dust etc.
Leastways that's a starting point!

have you tried emptying your cache? (ie) tools --> internet options --> delete files


not sure about your mozilla. this happened to me, and deleting cache fixed my problem. - sos

 

Although anythings possible, it's doing it with Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Kmeleon as he states, so you would have to assume that it's more than just a browser based problem, but a systematic problem that all the browsers rely on.

Go to Start, Run and copy and paste the following then press O.K.

regsvr32.exe jscript.dll

If that fails, go to Start, Run and copy and paste the following then O.K.

sfc /scannow

You will need your Windows CD.
