Need a Different movie maker

Hey, im plannin to start makin another movie....However, i SERIOUSLY don't want to use Windows Movie Maker....It just down right sux, there aren't very many cool transitions or effects, and it always freezes up on me and shuts down....So i need help finding a better software that has a lot of cool transitions and effects, and i mean a Movie maker that'll seriously make my movie look B.A!

 

Windows Movie Maker is ok for some things, but one I use is Adobe Premiere Elements 2. They're on version 3 now, but you can still get version 2 on eBay. I find 2 easier to use anyway.
Loads of transitions (70 or more). Similar interface to Windows Movie Maker, but more versatile. Plenty of control over what goes into the finished film. DVD authoring capability. Customisable menus. Titles very good as well.

I use Premiere Pro as well, which costs a lot more, but a lot of what I need is in Premiere Elements 2. At first glance, it can look more complicated than it is, but it's not that bad.
