    Hello all,

    I need a (free) monitoring tool that will tell me who (or what) is connected to my computer. Here and there I can hear the hard drive doing things, like a consistent click every second or so. It's probably an update being downloaded, but I'd like to know what it is.

    What do you all prefer to use?

    Thanks,

    Starkman

    Try this:

    Start-> Run -> type "cmd"
    Then enter this:
    Code:
    netstat

    This will show all active connections to your machine.

    You know, Goldfish, I forgot all about that little utility. Thanks. Anything out there that's GUI, though?

    Thanks,

    Starkman

    Sure :)

    Netstat Live

    Do a search on the MG homepage for netstat and you'll find a couple of others :)
