Need a new wireless router

I am currently using a Linksys WRT54G ... a very good router ... but

I have another piece of equipment that also runs wirelessly on 2.4G that is conflictly badly with my router.
I would prefer to upgrade my wireless router to another wireless router that does not use 2.4G.

Does anyone have any ideas or know of any routers like this?

You should be able to log in to your current router and change the frequency and channel your router is on.

Generally this can help avoid mild frequency conflicts.

You can go to Linksys' website and see how to log in if you aren't aware already...

My router has 6 different freq. and the other equipment has 4 freq. ....

but they are all 2.4 ???
they are not the same
and I have tried different settings with no change

If I shut my router off ... the other equipment works fine

Do all wireless routers use 2.4G or is there something different out there that I don't know about?

there are some routers that use 5.8ghz freq

 

5.8G that would be wonderful ..... I will do a google search and see if I can find some .....
