Need a Sound Driver

Hello,
I need a sound driver compatible with Windows 7
Even my front panel Audio jack is not working, USB are working fine.
No issues till i was using Windows XP.

1.)
Download and install the chipset driver from Intel first from here.....

reboot your machine so that it recognises the changes.

2.)
Download and install the Audio driver from here...

reboot your machine so that it recognises the changes. Book mark these links for future reference.

I installed the chipset driver and rebooted.
when i try to install sound driver, i'm getting Error as NDRC as stopped working.
tried installing as Administrator but same Error.

Ok I need you to try these two options.....

1.) Realtek High Definition Audio Codecs......

select the I accept button then next.... the driver you require is at the top of the list. if this fails then try this one .....

2.) Realtek AC'97 Audio Codecs.......

this is also the top one on that list. remember to reboot after each install.

Thanks for the report it still has only gave me the same inf as before .... can you please give me the make and model of your machine as the make of card that is on your board differs in drivers which are set for OEM buids like.....

DELL,GATEWAY,HP,PANASONIC,SONY,TOSHIBA.

is your machine any of these brands if so can I have the model number of it.

Sorry for replying late
when i try to install the driver, i get error as installed windows driver is already up to date.
i installed the sigmatel driver and it got installed but whenever i restart my PC i get error as sigmatel tray icon has stopped working application closed.
any help?

Ok now I know that I am dealig with the Intergrated sound card (IDT).

Right I need for you to download and 'SAVE' both the Chipset and Sound Drivers... these will be auto saved into your downloads folder ...

Go to >Control Panel >Program and Features >Uninstall the Intel Chipset Driver and the IDT Sound Driver + any Realtek Audio Drivers. Re-boot into Safemode (f8 on boot) as an Admin User.

YOU MUST COMPLETE THESE STEPS IN SAFEMODE......

Run Driver Sweeper by double clicking on its Icon, you will now see a screen with several options on the lefthand side, you need to select the Intel Chipset/IDT and Realtek options, click 'Analyze' then click 'Clean' you must run the 'Clean' button twice as to clean up any residual leftovers that may corrupt any further installs.
Re-boot into Windows and click out of any 'Found new hardware' promts. Install the drivers in this order....

1.) Chipset
2.) Sound 1
3.) Sound 2 (only if you do not have sound!!)

Remember that you MUST re-boot after each install so you system recognises the changes that have been made.

and yes i have installed the chipset which you told me on your first reply should i uninstall it before installing this?
and should i perform this in safe mode?

sorry I should of told you that the chipset is the first on the list :-o, do the add/remove in normal windows, and don't worry about the HP download use this one instead....

Ok can you tell me what driver for sound was on the driver disc and i will see if there is a compatible driver for your new OS. If you put the disc in your cd drive and open to viewe files it will show what is on the disc.

I have done a bit more digging around and it seems that IDT are no longer issueing driver updates to end users, this means only OEM builders can be supplied with them.

I am sorry that i could not find a fix for your sound, but as IDT have now stopped supporting that type it will be vertually impossible to find a windows 7 compatible driver for your system. Either it's a new card or reverting back to XP.
