Need advice on software problem

Hi, I am new to computers and so I need some help with a problem that I am having. I am missing drivers for HP MediaSmart Server software version 1.3.6.21622 and I think service pack 1 and update 1.3

I have searched the web and HP's website and cannot find these drivers to download, I think because they may not be the newest but an older version however I need these to even be able to download the newest updates for the HP MediaSmart software drivers

Does anyone know where I can get these downloads on the web? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to say that I am running Windows Vista and that this is a desktop computer. My internet server is Windows Internet Explorer.

I'm not familiar with that software. Can you give the model number of your computer so someone can check HP's site to see what is available? It should be on a white tag at the back of the tower.

Edit: That link doesn't include the media smart SERVER software. Server software wouldn't be a normal need for a desktop computer. The model number and the reason you need the software should help clear things up.

 

I came across some comments on a Youtube video. Not sure if this will help or not.

 

Can you tell us how you noticed that you are "missing drivers"; is it some message you are getting when trying to run certain software?

Does the Device Manager show yellow or red signs on any devices?

 

Hi Plodr, and thanks so much for responding to my call for help. I don't have the software for these drivers as they were loaded on computer by a friend who hopefully may be coming by soon to assist with this. I was hoping to do this on my own and learn as I go but some things make sense and others just confuse me more. I bought the Driver Detective online which is suppose to help with this but it to seems to be missing some of the drivers I need too.

 

Hi Sach2, I thought that this software was necessary for my computer to run smoothly because it was installed before. I do get error messages that I have 12 drivers missing when I run Driver Detective which is a program I just bought on line because its suppose to be able to load those drivers for me but it only succeeded in loading a few. Anyway at this point I don't want to create more issues so I am having a friend over who knows a lot about computers and he will fix it for me. So THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP.
