If you are, or want to test it anyway download the beta version attached to this post and let me know if it finds them or not.

Hopefully this version if it survives this beta will be able to find ANY current or future 0ffice 2003 and office 2007 product regardless of language or type (trial,volume, actionpack,OEM etc)

PS: I already know its not working great on vista so if you are running vista you may want to skip this version and wait for a later release)

Please could one of the admins or mods verify the file uploaded is what I say it is and not a virus etc so any users who don't know me feel safer.

 

MattChugg I have downloaded and it does in fact show my Microsoft 2003 serial number.

 

Just to say, it seems to be fine in Vista RC1.

But, I need to hunt down my key, to double check.

 

Confirmed. You have the correct version of my office 2007 Professional plus key in Vista RC1.

 

Matt, it found correctly, my windows, office 2003 pro, dreamweaver, the only question, my power dvd 6, it identified it as 5, right serial number tho. ed

 

works fire on win XP MCE - found the windows key, the office pro beta, also visio and onenote and IE, and gave me two:

A list of the subkeys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Registration would be nice although I can manage without it.

 

Beta 2 release.

It seemed kind of reporting an unknown product with an unknown serial so I fixed that.

It may still return unknown product but with a serial or vice versa.

 

@tunered, it seems cyberlink powerdvd uses the same location regardless of the version so I set it up for 5 originally it will report any version it finds as 5.

the most recent version gives me only IE and windows, not any unknowns but also no office

Awesome, just the tool I need as I've just upgarded to a new PC and can't find the serial keys for some of my programs.

 

Great canon74, let me know if you need anything added and I will add it if it is possible to do so.

 

Is anyone running 64 bit xp ? I havn't had chance to look at it myself yet and I need to know what the registry does with 32 bit software, I suspect it makes a new folder somewhere for 32bit running on a 64bit os, Then I can release a 64bit version (well it will be a 32bit program but it will find keys on 64bit platforms)
