need cam help

have youcam on laptop shows its there i can bring it up but it says capture failed everytime , even updated it , says the same thing every time even when i try to bring it up on yahoo it says start ur ucam so, i was wondering if i can download another software to run the onboard cam so i can actually use the dang thing .. thanks for any help i can get on this subject ..

 

We would need to know what brand of laptop, model # and operating system to be able to help further.

 

its a compaq presario cq57-339wm notebook pc; windows 7, had the hp youcam the program comes up the light turns on but doesnt work then of course u go to the site and they r like 50% OFF lol wanna sale u the friggen software so it did work till i guess , they wanted my money lol

i tried the earlier posts download and it told me , driver_win7_64 not found and tried it again and of course it told me that it would not nstall with out driver

 

i got it downloaded and the program comes up but it still says warning ; capture failed

 

i just did mbr check and it says ; mbr check detected ;SHA1:4379A3D43019B46FA357F7DD6A53B45A3CA8FB79 have no clue , ive ran all kinds of checks and nothen pops up nfected mbr check said c/d/e/ drives offset , i knew somthing was wrong but i cant find it ..
