that doesn't take 16 hours and then requires payment or registration before fixing errors!

Also, if your drive is an SSD instead of an HDD, DON'T defrag it.

    FYI:

I be leave that this defraging once a month or every two weeks on a HDD platter hard drive is a MYTH.

I setup my systems to defrag at 6am every morning. And i never have to worry about my system getting sluggish or slow down.
This is one reason why i have very little issues with errors and crashes. And in fact i think that it makes my systems run better.

Now a solid-state drive on the other hand should not need a defrag for a long long time,If not at all.But here is the catch on this i my self have performed defraging on USB Flash drive sticks. They are basically the same thing only real difference is they are a smaller speeds read and right and smaller size as well. They do not have the performance like a solid state drive card does.Hell the highest USB speed i think i have is around 15Mb's both read and right per second. Some may differ in speed.

You're wasting time defragging USB sticks.

The point of defragging is to make the read/write head work more efficiently. USB sticks don't use read/write heads like magnetic drives.

So far I've owned about 4 dozen USB sticks in all sizes and from quite a few different companies (Lexar, SanDisk, Crucial, Patriot, PNY, Kingston, Verbatim, Corsair, HP, and perhaps one unknown brand) and I have NEVER defragged. I've formatted a lot of sticks because I test linux live distros.

But why waste time doing it if you do not need to?
I want better use of my time than doing tasks that are not helpful.
