    International Geek assist needed.
Cdn, took over my father's business in Ecuador after his death in April.
He was an engineer and preferred being in the Amazon basin doing his thing and left Admin. and finances to staff in Quito. They did a lot of bad things and I have run them all off, but not before delays caused by laws here gave them time to mess up all they could in the Mac and PCs. Since they were basically pretty ignorant and I have access to great recovery tools, I am working on restoring everything.

Problem is that for some work I must be in DOS as they use dark ages programs here for Govt taxes ( which are unbelievably complex). OS is in Spanish, there are no Eng/Spanish dictionaries that have tech terms, techs here are also in the dark ages. (remember when everyone was an ''expert''?)Cannot find anyone who is both bilingual and DOS-savvy. Been trying for weeks.

All I need are basic commands to search out and find files for copying onto CDs. Change Dir. could be anything, as tech things do not translate any better than movie titles down here.
I need this data for (a) IRS type people called SRI and who make the IRS look like Santa, and (b) my court case against the wholly evil ex-Pres.

So any help at all will be joyously received.
    Thanx

There is a piece of software named 'Systran' that will automatically change sentences from one language to another.

    Thanks Toke and Bigbazza
Prob with translators is that they are sentence/communications geared not specific to tech things. Also ''dos'' is a very common word in Spanish, so it triggers a flood of non-tech responses. I may try ''DOS Basic'' and see if that works.

Hard to guess at what word will be used, eg: CD should work for both languages as translation of change dir. but does not.

Any bi-lingual tech-heads out there who can remember the good old days of DOS?

Give google a good workout. Try "MS-DOS", DOS commands, DOS v 5 (or whatever version it is). Try English to Spanish translators, rather than Spanish to English, as you mention, "DOS" is a common Spanish word. Translators may work better that way around. What version of DOS is the program in? You have us intrigued and challenged. Bazza
PS: I have a computer shop owner/friend who is a bowerbird. Maybe he can turn something up, if all else fails. Baz
