Need Firewall for Older PC

    Hi,I want to install ZoneAlarm on my sisters pc,it's an older Gateway 400 MHZ with 128 mg of ram,Windows 98 . It's slow but it all that she has, would and older version of ZA,like 4.5 be alright or should I try a newer version,I need one thats good but not a resource hog. Or maybe someone has a better firewall for this PC.

    It might be, but i found comodo to work very well on older pc's.

    ZA 7.0 would be a resource hog for it as the latest version came fully loaded with bloatware (IMO), but you could try earlier versions, which should be suitable.

    That's why after 5 years with ZA, I switched to PCTools. It works just the same but w/o all the fluff. BTW Norby, it not for Win 98. Sorry, my mistake.

    I've installed ZA 4.5.594 on 98SE, ME and 2K

    and it isn't a resource hog. In fact it is better than the newer versions of ZA.
    I'm currently running it on a 2K, old tired nb @322MHz.

    I just installed win 98 on a friend's laptop and am trying to load a firewall (zone alarm).
